When I first stood in line to enter the Colosseum in Rome this past summer, with my wife, Suzanne, and our three boys, Benjamin, Jonathan and Lewis, it felt a bit like we were going into a sporting event. We were excited about touring the Colosseum, as were all the tourists. Young men kept approaching us with offers to buy all kinds of souvenirs and water. The whole scene reminded me of the old Veterans Stadium as if we were waiting in line to see an Eagles game.
